What made you want to enter the UK Galaxy Pageants?
I originally entered Miss Teen Galaxy – UK after I was introduced to the system by former Miss Galaxy England (Stefanie Williams). Since entering for the first time in 2017, I have not looked back since. Seeing all the amazing photos from Stefanie’s time at internationals made me want to enter, and I dreamt of walking on the international Galaxy stage from that very moment! It’s still so surreal to me.
What did you do to prepare for the final?
In the lead up to the final, I worked from the very moment I had my purple finalist sash, right up until doing an appearance the day before I competed. I completed 100 appearances as that was a goal for me from the beginning. I didn’t want my sash to just sit on the shelf so I did everything in my power to do as much as possible within the community. I also raised over £7,000 for the Christie cancer charity whilst I was a finalist after previously raising awareness and money for this charity, it became closer to my heart. I also trained with the TPCA and Runway with Maria to try and improve my pageant interview and walk.
What is the best thing about being a Galaxy Girl?
I would probably have to say the sisterhood that comes with being a Galaxy Girl, I have made SO many wonderful friends since competing in Galaxy, whether you’re a queen or finalist everyone is treated equally as sisters. It’s so nice to know I always have my pageant sisters by my side watching out for me!
Who is your role model and why?
In pageantry, my role model would have to be my pageant bestie – Ellie Corcoran, she always inspires me to do my best in pageant land and in everyday life. We both live the pageant life as teenagers, so we get each other. She is so kind and caring not only to me but to everyone she meets. She always wants me to be the best version of myself.
What part of the international Galaxy Pageants in Orlando are you most excited about?
I’m of course excited for every minute of the international finals, I’m so looking forward to the minute I get to step on the international stage for the very first time. I can’t wait for orientation too when I get to meet the other queens for the first time too!
Tell us your:
Favourite film/tv programme – Outerbanks on Netflix 100%, if you haven’t watch it, you need to, it’s the best! In fact, it’s playing in the back as I type…
Favourite food – Pasta Carbonara, its super tasty, I love a good Italian meal and will always pick a pasta dish when I go out for a meal.
Favourite song – Selfish by Madison Beer, not only do I love Madison as an artist, I feel like I relate to the lyrics of the song too!
Favourite beauty/make-up product – A product that works wonders and is super cheap for what it is – Wet n Wild photo focus foundation is a must have!
Dream holiday destination – Has to be Dubai!
Do you have any exciting plans/appearances organised for your year as a Galaxy queen?
Unfortunately, because of COVID 19, all plans have had to been held back. However when I start getting back into the pageant life properly I’ve got lots lined up. I would like to host my annual ball in aid of the Christie. So far whilst being at home I have raised £150 for The Christie through charity drawings, as well as £100 for know your rights campaign where myself and Ellie Corcoran held a raffle.
When you aren’t busy being a beauty queen, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
In my spare time, I love to draw and be creative from drawing, to painting, to designing (I even designed my winning fashion wear), I just love being creative. I also spend time doing my hair and makeup and practising different styles and looks on myself and others. I enjoy spending lots of time with my friends hanging out, making TikToks and of course shopping!
What advice would you give to girls who are thinking about entering the UK Galaxy Pageants?
You absolutely have to do it! I promise you that you won’t look back… what you will take from this experience is confidence, friendships and so much more.
